Seaspan Ferry Ramp – Hydraulic System Modernization

Janox designed and installed a modern hydraulic power and control system for a Seaspan ferry ramp in Vancouver, supporting the safe and efficient loading and unloading of commercial trailers between the mainland and Vancouver Island.

The project included new stainless-steel piping, upgraded operator controls, and a custom hydraulic power unit (HPU) housed inside a standard shipping container. Existing hydraulic cylinders were inspected and retained, while the new system was designed to accommodate future upgrades and additional equipment integration.

By combining reliable hydraulic engineering, automated operation, and a flexible, cost-effective design, Janox delivered a practical solution that supports daily ferry operations while allowing for future expansion.
